They got busted on the cable news shows and the internet for having their members flock to congressional townhall meetings on health care. And in one case, members wearing SEIU shirts were captured on video beating up a black conservative man outside a townhall who was selling "Don't Tread On Me" buttons and bumper stickers. So now the Service Employees International Union, aka SEIU, are going stealth. Check this out from the their website today recruiting people to turn out at Rep. Leonard Boswell's town hall meeting in Sigourney (but incognito):
Town Hall with Rep. Leonard Boswell (Change that Works - Iowa)
Come join Rep. Leonard Boswell for a town hall to discuss health care reform. Feel free to bring homemade signs to show your support, but please refrain from wearing SEIU shirts or button.
So the picture here will be no more. SEIU appears to be trying to pack the townhalls with supporters of single payer health care (the "public option") so they can turn the tide around in their favor. It will be something to watch!
